A Place in Mind

The National Brain Appeal’s fundraising art exhibition, A Letter in Mind at Gallery@Oxo, London, starts onSeptember 2019. Using the starting point of a simple envelope with a new theme every year.

The National Brain Appeal is the charity dedicated to raising vital funds for The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square, London. The charity began in 1984 and has a vision is to improve the outcome and quality of life for the one in six affected by a neurological condition, by funding pioneering research, providing access to the best technology for expert diagnosis & treatment, and training tomorrow’s clinicians.

Grayson Perry has agreed to support the project, along with Harry Pye, Gill Rocca, Natasha Kidd and Frank Kiely, plus comedians Kevin Eldon and Jo Brand.

West Norfolk artist Helen Breach is supporting the project in memory of her daughter Rosalind who suffered a fatal brain aneurysm last year. More research is needed to find alerts and indications of brain problems. Details of Helen's exhibits are secret - all artworks are on sale anonymously, for £85.00 - available either from the gallery@oxo on London’s South Bank or on line at www.nationalbrainappeal.org   Artists’ names will only be revealed once they are sold and the exhibition has closed.

All exhibits are original, created specifically for the theme, and will be no bigger than 40cm/16” square.

Exhibition opens to the public:  September 2019 date to be confirmed
